Agra (India): Hindustan College of Science and Technology inaugurated its three days annual techfest GYAN JYOTI 2010 with great pomp and show. The chief guest of this ceremony was renowned scientist and Prof. Dr. Dev Prakash Agarwal, chairman of Union Public Service Commision (UPSC). Dr. RC Maheshwari, Director of institute started the event with Saraswati Vandana and describing how this annual fest helps in developing the soft skills and act as a medium for the all round development. Umesh Wazir, convener GYAN JYOT 2010 gave a detailed structure of the event focusing primarily on conservation of nature, theme of the event. Dr. Agarwal in his speech focused on education activities. He emphasized that the students should develop all round skill by updating themselves with the current world and not becoming the bookworm. The other notable activity that took place today in the college was establishment of the nature club PRAKRITI. On this occasion Dr. NK Janu shared his views and assured every possible help. In this much awaited technical and cultural event, students of not only Hindustan College, but from various colleges of north India participated.
On the eve of GYAN JYOTI rock Band BANDISH gave a scintillating performance. |
