Aligarh (India): Prof. Ali Ahmad, Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University passed away yesterday night.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Education (M. Ed.), PhD. (Education), MA (Sociology), Diploma in Arabic, Certificate in Quranic Phonetics and Certificate in French from AMU.

Prof. Ali Ahmad was the author of three books and a monograph. His books and monograph include “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan on Education” (2006), “Community Work and Teachers’ Education: AMU Model” (2006), “Reconstructionism and Education” (1991) and “Technical Education in Saudi Arabia”(1987).

He was actively involved in research work including supervision of PhD. Thesis and M. Ed. Projects.  He was also the co-author of term research projects including “A Study of Scientific and Technological Development Policies in Saudi Arabia” (1984) Dr. Ali Ahmad started his career as Project Officer in the Adult Education Centre, AMU.
