Can sudden weather change cause strokes?A collaborative study led by a neurologist at Rush University Medical Center and an environmental scientist at the University of Illinois at Chicago suggests that weather patterns that cause dramatic changes in barometric pressure may increase the incidence of a type of stroke known as spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage, that is, the rupture of a blood vessel in the brain.

Minneapolis : A new study shows that people who have three or more alcoholic drinks per day may be at higher risk for experiencing a stroke almost a decade and a half earlier in life than those who do not drink heavily. The research is published in the recently, print issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
