While new research from the University of California San Diego makes no claims on quantifying just how many words a picture is really worth, it shows that a single picture has the power to sway people – changing how they behave – while a single word does not. Even a picture that’s barely seen, flashed on a screen for only 10 milliseconds, seems able to alter behavior.

People Are Getting More Zzzzs…Although many people don’t get enough sleep, a new analysis shows first signs of success in the fight for more shut eye. According to data from 181,335 respondents aged 15 and older who participated between 2003 and 2016, most people averaged an extra 7.5 hours of sleep each year over the 14-year period.
